About Dr. Tammy Jurnett-Lewis
Dr. Tammy Jurnett-Lewis is a Registered Nurse with more than 30 years in the healthcare industry. She ran a successful home care agency called "Ideal Healthcare Services" for 9.5 years, before turning to home care and business consulting. She was recognized in Forbes Magazine in both 2013 and 2014 for the growth of her company and her expertise in the home care industry. She was also recognized in Business Leader Magazine as one of the "Top 50 Entrepreneurs of the Triangle" and "Top 300 Small Businesses of the South." Also, as a recipient of the "Outstanding Healthcare Career Development" award, she continued to work hard to assist in creating jobs.
Tammy is also an award-winning international best-seller author. She is best known for her book "Starting and Maintaining a Successful Home Care Business." She is the founder of the Nurse Boss Summit. She is also Executive Director and founder of The Anthony Lewis Foundation for Brain Tumors, Inc. This organization was created in honor of her late husband, who passed away of Glioblastoma in 2022.
In addition, Tammy is the founder and Executive Director of the National Healthcare Chamber of Commerce to launch in the fall of 2025, which supports healthcare professionals in building sustainable and successful businesses. Recently, she co-founded WellLife Housecalls, a primary care service offering personalized care to patients in their homes.
